Alder Committee Appointments

Postby Stu Levitan » Wed Apr 10, 2013 3:41 pm

Two very interesting appointments just announced:

Ald. Ledell Zellers to Plan Commission

Ald. Paul Skidmore (and NOT Ald. John Strasser) to CDA.

What is "very interesting" about them?

Apparently we are just supposed to know. For Zellers, I guess it's interesting that she's on Plan because she's reputed to be a preservationist rather than pro-development.

And Stu probably thinks CDA is a good fit for Strasser's district's needs, and is this some sort of slight, or why Skidmore and not Strasser?

So let's all throw out guesses as to why it might be so interesting. Maybe fellatio is involved!

Bother what? You didn't tell us anything. I'll ask again: what's so interesting about them?

Mayor who strongly supported the Waterfront project on Iota Ct., and whose support for historic preservation has been seen by some as uncertain, appoints new pro-landmarks alder who would have voted against Waterfront to powerful Plan Commission.

Mayor reported as welcoming Bruer defeat does not appoint alder-elect who defeated him to CDA, which does significant business in 14th A.D. (2nd only to 13th district), appointing instead alder whose district has minimal CDA activity.

I think those aspects make these appointments interesting.

I can totally understand how it is interesting to insiders, but for most of us it is akin to a peacock strutting around and showing his feathers.

strut, strut, strut.

So I start a thread about some important mayoral business that will affect land use, housing and economic development over the next two years, and which reflects on various personal relationships, and I get called a strutting peacock just showing off my insider knowledge.

Again I ask -- why do I even bother?

Because you're a botherer?

C'mon over to my other thread and I'll give you all the validation you'll ever need.

Also, the shit's gonna hit the fan when Mo Cheeks finds out about THIS:

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES COMMISSION
Term Expires 4-21-2015

ALD. ANITA WEIER, District 18 - appoint to the position of Common Council Member succeeding Brian Solomon.

No good deed goes unpunished. The thread probably would have gone a lot more smoothly if you had "bothered" to let those of us not in the know, know why the appointments are interesting.

And they are interesting.

But they aren't a conspiracy, and here we deal with conspiracies. Like the school board elections.

I'm sure Blaska's on it and Meade will let us all know how messed up, socialistic, communistic, and generally thugged up Madison is.
