Are you judging the entire group of protesters based upon the actions of that one individual?

Group singing creeps me out... Anything "gospel-ly" creeps me out too. Weird songs about togetherness, going to heaven, or specific living people, I feel, are kind of freaky.

What's the difference between the 'Solidarity Singers' and any other cult, really? The meter of the rhythmic chanting? The tenor of their dogma? The modulation of their doctrine? The constant self-inundation? The chanting mantras, repeated ad nauseam? The virtual echo chamber that inoculates the individual from non-doctrinal influence? That really offputting, wailing church choir cadence? All the lines are pretty well blurred, as far as I'm concerned.

That's interesting. The definition you're assigning to the word "cult" puts you in one.

Its so nice of you to offer such helpful advice to a group that you completely disagree with.

Apparently the risk of arrest has, for now, decreased. Someone who sings regularly at the Capitol told me today that no arrests have taken place for about the last two weeks.

A great many of those arrested have not been charged by the DA, including Damon Terrell:

Deal made between the ACLU and the dept of Administration:

Give 2 days notice and you can have as many people as you want protesting for 5 days in a row. No permit needed, but those with permits get priority.

from cap times article you just linked:
The state Department of Administration announced Tuesday that it settled a lawsuit that acknowledges the state's authority to demand that groups of 12 or more obtain a permit or give advance notice before protesting at the Capitol.

Under the agreement, groups of fewer than 12 won't have to provide notice or obtain a permit unless they are using a sound amplification system or musical instruments.

I've heard no evidence of it possessing musical qualities.

I don't care how DOA tries to spin it - if you pay the other guy's lawyers, you lost.

Depends on how much they might have been liable for if it went to trial and they lost.

Common sense seems to have take hold for the moment, but the only winners seem to be the lawyers.

The emergency rule expired on September 13th, which no one invovled in this circus (or reporting on this circus) seems to understand or acknowledge.
