Stephanie Miller @ the Barrymore

What are the things that puzzle, enrage, delight and tickle you as you go about your life in Madison?

Anyone ever been to see Steph when she comes to town? I have tickets, but I'm trying to figure out how early I need to show up in order to actually get a seat. How hotly contested will this be? Help!

Oh, by the way, if anyone is planning to go tonight, I'll be the ridiculously hot short-haired blond wearing an official Steph tank top. Ridiculously hot.

No matter how hot you try to be, you'll never be as hot as momma.

I wouldn't be surprised if people are lining up already. When she was here last, the people I went with go there somewhere around 4:30am and doors didn't open until I think 7am. I highly suggest that if you live close, you at least do a drive-by (walk or bike-bys work as well) of the Barrymore to see.

Have fun!! Id go, but I MUST see Califone again tonight in Milwaukee. I think that's a fair trade-off.

You made the right choice. Steph was pretty funny although most of what she said was material from her show minus the sound effects. Poor Mama was a good sport through the endless, endless, endless line of questioners who were trying, oh so hard, to be cute and funny. Some actually were but most really embarrassed themselves. People were fleeing in droves. Luckily her show has screeners and unfortunately this live appearance didn't!

Other than that, the documentary was OK but nothing to write home about. You couldn't hear about a third of it thanks to the constant clapping and hooting.

The panel discussion was interesting but maybe a bit out of place for what the crowd was after. I could have listened to a lot more but it just wasn't the right place or time. The crowd was getting really restless for Stephanie. Stu did a good, lively job though.

That picture is clearly not slutty enough for what I would expect from a Stephanie Miller photo.

She's not bad looking, but how does that help on radio?

I've really wanted to like her, but her program is, for the most part, pretty lame.

Yeah the same way the rest of us feel about Rush and Bill O. Except I guess I didn't even want to like them.
