Henry Vilas wrote:Store owners Jack and Connie Amundson are clearing out their entire stock of footwear — from Chuck Taylor canvas throwbacks to Allen Edmonds dress oxfords. Everything must go, they say, even the store fixtures.
The Amundsons — who've been living in Hawaii since 2007 and running the business remotely — have decided to finally sell the store and retire. They hope to close the transaction in January.
"We just decided this was the year to do it," says Jack Amundson, 77, in a recent phone interview.
Once the clearance sale is complete, the Amundsons intend to sell the business to current store employees Brian and Allie LaFleur.
It's unclear whether the new owners will retain the Jack's Shoes name.

So if they're selling off all stock and store fixtures, the new owners may not even use the name (and I don't believe they own the building), exactly what "business" are they selling to the LaFleurs?
