Death penalty states scramble for lethal injection drugs

A federal civil complaint in Texas claims the defendants may have falsified prescriptions, lied to pharmacies and perhaps even broken the law, but they're not drug runners.

They're officials from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, responsible for executing death row inmates.

The complaint, filed in October, is one example of the lengths death-penalty states are willing to go to acquire drugs for lethal injections.

In case you hadn't heard about the Velveeta shortage.

NEW YORK (AP) - Playoff parties may have one fewer dip option this year.

Kraft Foods says some customers may not be able to find Velveeta cheese over the next few weeks. A representative for the company, Jody Moore, didn't give any reasons for the apparent shortage, saying only that they happen from time to time given the "nature of manufacturing."

It takes Dennis Rodman, not the U.S. Gov, to make the first step in opening up a walled-off country.

Well, that does make me wonder what Kim and Dennis have in common...

After watching the CNN dickhead and his interview, we are supposed to hate Dennis as we hate Kim. Congratulations to Rodman for sowing the seeds of doubt amongst the Korean people, and striking a blow against the Clinton/Kerry school of hardline threats.

I had friends in college who had t-shirts that read "Ragnarok is coming - are you?'. It was all in good fun. And now, suddenly, it is upon us!

Coming this Saturday:
The wolf Fenrir is also predicted to break out of his prison, the snake Jormungand will rise out of the sea and the dragon of the underworld will resurface on Earth to face the dead heroes of Valhalla – who, of course, have descended from heaven to fight them.
