Well, the good side of this tragedy, like any disaster, is that it brings people together.

Why is that sad, Stu? Please explain to us why the legal economic transactions of marriage should not be equated with the legal economic transactions of prostitution. Feel free to use your own marriage and/or experience with prostitution to illustrate. I invite you to explore the depths of your contempt for prostitutes and to share with us what you discover.

Possible cheerio pissing, CONFIRMED!

Stu Levitan tweeted:

@GregMitch Suzy Favor Hamilton lived around the corner from me for 3 years. Should have asked her about the Nike ad. Really is offensive.

So Meade, in your marriage, which one of you is the whore?

bdog, I think a commercial based on a masked man with a chain saw chasing a young woman in her bra and shorts through the dark woods is offensive. you apparently disagree. but, now, never went in for golden showers, with SFH or anyone.

Well, well, . . . . .That's quite a way to have a mid-life crisis. And to think, many individual women think only men have a midlife crisis. I think this, and the whole "cougar" fad, are examples of women realizing that they just don't have the "sexy" anymore.

I think this just goes to show that individual women can be as bad as, if not worse than, the men, in the midlife issues.

$600 an hour seems cheap for a former Olympian.

She's 44. $600 is actually pretty spendy for any girl over 25.

The Althouse commentator "Beldar" nails it:

To get to the inference that this ad endorses violence against women, you have to completely ignore the more obvious message of the ad — that powerful, self-sufficient, fit, athletic women who don't panic can defeat and frustrate the most horrific and stereotypical male attacker.

Susan Favor Hamilton's character wins. She turns the movie cliche they're mocking — of the beautiful but helpless coed slaughtered on Friday the 13th — upside down.

The women execs who surely signed off on this must have thought they had joined the club of those who can't win for losing.

In other words, Stu practices vanilla sex and finds offensive any behavior that doesn't conform to the officially approved feminist critique. He will slutshame anyone he deems to be out of line.

Seems to me that with 60+ years snorfling at the public trough, we know who the whores in the Levitan household are.

No Idea nor do I care who is the whore in their marriage.

Stay classy, Stu.

In another thread many were saying that a woman has an absolute right to determine what they do with their body.

Isn't this Just another case of that?

If she wants to sell her body, that is up to her and the john, no?

Some say the husband and daughter get a say. Would they get a say if she wanted an abortion? Why in one case and not the other?

FWIW: I take a fairly extreme liberal (libertarian) view on a consenting adult's right to do what they want with their body. Male or female. Their body, their right.

That is not to say I think she made a wise or poor choice. I will take no stand one way or the other. Her body, her right.

I have a big problem with marathon runners selling their bodies, especially for premium prices. Like crawfish, they're tasty but not much meat on the bone.

First you say "public trough" which means to me, government employment. Now you say politics. You are moving the goal post.

So how many years have you and your spouse received paychecks from any level of government?
