All these Americans who tear up when the good ole USA wins a gold medal, but bring giant syringes to ballgames are fucking idiots. Thats the point, if you want to flame Barry for it, you have a lot of work to do...catching up on every player in every sport that ever was suspected of it. Lots of asterisks. Otherwise its nothing but hypocrisy

That's the absolute truth. It IS everywhere, and it HAS been everywhere for a long time. Especially in the 70's and 80's when few questions were ever raised and anyone with any desire could get them. I've been around gyms for 25 years and I've seen more than my share of college athletes (football mostly) using steroids. The minimum wage in the NFL is enough to make kids do ANYthing to get there, let alone the fame and ridiculous money the top stars get. It's a pretty good bet that Evander Holyfield grew himself out of the no-money cruiserweights with a little HGH. It paid off to the tune of 100 million+.

I've seen people get set up with doctor-prescribed and monitored steroid programs for a few thousand bucks. I can imagine what really deep pockets can get you.

No comment on Bonds, I couldn't care less.

It's now a legal matter baby.
Barry Bonds was indicted Thursday for perjury and obstruction of justice, charged with lying when he told a federal grand jury that he did not knowingly use performance-enhancing drugs.

So what kind of penalties does he face, as these are federal charges? Perjury is a felony; is obstruction of justice also?

It's good to know with all the challenges facing our country right now that the government is spending years to work on such important issues. What a farce.
