Well, what is it?

Badgers, Packers, Mallards. Paddling, running, golfing. And bikes!

Well, what is it?

I've been calling it an urban trail for a long time, because that is what it is.

Title of photo:

"A Quiet Moment on the Southwest Bike Path"

I wonder if the photographer was walking or on a bike?

At least the dog is on a leash.

I'd say the photographer called it that because the sign post says "southwest bike path", if I'm not mistaken. The issue of peds on the paths has turned ugly before so lets hope it doesn't go this way. I tend to call them bike paths because 90% of the time that is what I use them for. It's semantics. Leashes are good.

A while ago I hunted around a little and found that "Multiuse Paths," "Multi-use Trails," and "Bike Paths" seemed to be the three most popular names.

To be honest you're the first one I know of to call them Urban Trails.

Not that I don't like the name. It rolls off the tongue well. I don't think it'll replace "Bike Path" though. I call it that even when I'm walking on it.
