The Big 14?

Postby Henry Vilas » Mon Nov 19, 2012 10:41 am

Maryland is considering joining the Big Ten and if so, the University of New Jersey (AKA Rutgers) would also like in. What is your view on the proposed expansion?

For me, it would just water down traditional rivalries. But I suppose it's all about the money.

I could live with Nebraska because they're not too far away and still have that Midwestern feel. But having teams from the east coast would ruin the division in my opinion.

I read the Big 10 logo as "B16" anyway. So 14 is still below that.

their membership should be contingent on a non-blind person approving their uniforms each week.

I disagree. Someone new to make fun of should be welcomed!

We need to make fun of their nicknames by calling them the turtles and the scarlet letters.

There's nothing sporting about Wall Street--it's everyone for themselves, and devil take the hindmost.

Yup, it will mean we play our traditional Big Ten opponents even less. It's about the money and everybody knows it's about the money.

Who would you rather have in our division, Rutgers or Maryland?

Both teams will be in Wisconsin's division. I hate expansion.
