Santorum wins! Santorum wins!

Races for the Senate, U.S. House, etc. and other issues of national importance.

Santorum wins! Santorum wins!

Postby pjbogart » Tue Feb 07, 2012 11:30 pm

Holy crap, that wasn't even close!

I'm the first to say that this race was over before it ever began. Wall Street wants Romney, Wall Street will get Romney. But apparently the voters aren't playing along (or this is all some massive conspiracy to keep Americans engaged in a foregone conclusion!)

As it sits now, Minnesota looks like they're voting for Santorum over Romney by a 3-1 margin, with Ron Paul inbetween! It's Santorum-mentum... or something. Let's face it, the guys that conservatives like can't win. The guys that can win, conservatives don't like. Mitt Romney has the personality of overcooked asparagus and Newt Gingrich has the temper of a wet cat. There aren't nearly enough closeted homosexuals to deliver Santorum a win (except in Minnesota) and the only people supporting Ron Paul are stoners and bankruptcy lawyers.

It's done, folks. Save us the frustration and just appoint Obama for a second term.

Let me see if I understand this: you want someone to recommend a barrier for santorum?

Maybe that request is better posted on Craigslist.

Romney lost by five points in Colorado, 24 points in Minnesota, and 30 points in Missouri.

Apparently there were no actual delegates at stake, but still -- not a good day for Mitt. Losing three for three, and to Santorum of all people.

Wow. Just ... wow.

HA! HA!
Santorum is sooo pre-Second Vatican Council/John23 a catholic, even his last name is Latin. I'm surprised he didn't change his first name to Rickomus or something like that.

This is awesome. As someone who wants a revolution in the Republican party, this is one step closer to bringing the nomination to the convention rather than having three more candidates drop out beforehand. It's unlikely, but it could bring about some real change.

Buuuuuut in all likelihood it's Romney.

I'm glad Romney got his nose bloodied a little.

Caucuses are one of the stupidest aspects of our electoral system. Right down there with the electoral college, and unlimited spending. What justification is there for not taking a broad vote? I suppose it is a bone thrown to activists. Caucuses produce undemocratic, strange results. Ron Paul loves um.

Don't forget the Sovereign Citizen guys -- though, they can't vote because they're all felons.

MY GREATEST WARRIOR SANTORUM IS GOING TO WIN THE NOMINATION, AND THEN THE PRESIDENCY, AND THEN HE WILL STICK IT TO THE GAYS.

I agree but what's a better alternative? Maybe have one day where all registered party members nationwide cast their vote. Then the winner is the nominee.

Santorum spews!

Probably NSFW. And oh so cheap, but hey, it's certainly more entertaining (and applicable) than what he's actually saying.
