Mandate

Races for the Senate, U.S. House, etc. and other issues of national importance.

Mandate

Postby Meade » Tue Jun 05, 2012 9:04 pm

This is what democracy looks like: 2010

60% - 40%

Kleefisch also wins.

First governor ever to defeat a recall election.

This is what Citizen's United looks like after 2010. Enjoy your corporate overlords.

Will Obama tweet his condolences to Mayor Barrett?

Nobody's laughing except you, Meade. There are real people on the margins who will be completely fucked by two and a half more years of Walker. Not "teachers," or "unions," or "libs," or "thugs," but people. Not to mention a tradition of transparent government that will barely be a memory by the time Walker finally oozes his way out of the statehouse on a trail of his own slime.

That may give you the warm fuzzies, but it makes me really sad for my state. What a shit sandwich.

This is what democracy looks like: https://twitter.com/shooter412/status/2 ... 23/photo/1 9:04pm Milwaukee line still waiting to vote. Win or lose, these people have my respect. Much more than I can say for you Meade. After a few months of lurking and reading your posts it's quite evident you're just not a very nice person. And that's totally fine. If you want to live that way. I don't and you have my pity.

Hell yes there is a mandate. The "uncertainty" arising from the impending recall election was cited as the reason for the state's poor economic performance. Now that the election is over, let the hiring begin. How many months until we reach 250,000?

Note in edit: I've done my share to create jobs in Wisconsin. How about you?

You're welcome. I've made my peace with today and may we all live in interesting times. A Chinese curse, or simply a quote, only time will tell. [spelling edit]

Remind me again about who runs the polls in Milwaukee County. Florida 2000 all over again! The party running the polling places cannot get their own voters processed!

There was never a question that turnout was going to be large - and with pre-voting options in place . . . (fill in excuse here).

I am certainly glad that we do not have a mobocracy in Wisconsin anymore.

I'll take the hit. That dilettente's-detachment thing you do is far less appealing than an honorable dose of Oh, fuck.

Yeah, when I retired I had to bite my tongue to keep from telling my replacement, I feel sorry for her!
