President OBAMA'S Intrade

Postby rabble » Sat Nov 10, 2012 1:51 pm

100%

President: Barrack Obama.

He won. He beat the guy with 400 million dollars that we could see, and untold, uncounted millions behind the scenes, handed out to non-profits and think tanks created for the express purpose of pumping more money into attack ads, misleading information, fraudulent "get out the vote" campaigns that told lies to the elderly and the poor, and good old fashioned racism.

He beat all of 'em. And Meade hates that so much he wants this thread title to go away. The thread title he bumped for months, just to be annoying. He wants this to just go away.

So here it is. Many apologizings to Wags, I'm sorry, I just had to do this. And I'm going to bump it now and then. Just because I know Meade doesn't want to see it.

Oh, and I forgot to link to the original thread.

Someone with more spare time than I have might want to copy and paste the illustrious history of the Intrade numbers day by day, lest we forget what a crock of shit it was.

Unfortunately, the one member of this forum with the most spare time is also the most disinclined to help with that.

P.S. 100%, President Barack Obama.

Wagstrade, on the other hand (and I'll never tire of pointing this out) was 100% accurate for the duration of its existence.

Here's a sampling:

Obama to win election:
Oct. 31: 100%
Nov. 1: 100%
Nov. 2: 100%
Nov. 3: 100%
Nov. 4: 100%
Nov. 5: 100%
Nov. 6: 100%

Still baffled why nobody wanted to invest.
Must not have trusted my numbers.

Speaking of admitting when you're wrong, I have to say I was most relieved when my dire forecasts (among friends, not really on the forum) of disputed vote tallies in the swing states never came to pass. I thought election night was going to be a train wreck, and it wasn't at all.

I'm a long ways from thinking electronic voting passed a big test, but it's easy to agree that if they were trying to cheat, they didn't do a very good job.

Wagstrade also humbly admits that its prediction in this regard was way off base. We apologize to our investors, of which there were none.

I wish Meade would have left the thread title alone.

As Sno said, it was a nice legacy.

Thank you Rabs for borning it again.

So, after creating and then drawing out the Intrade thread 32 pages, Meade decides to change the name of the thread because he does not like that it did not turn out the way he was so sure it would.

WHAT A SLIMY WEASEL MEADE IS!

I just checked Intrade,

The chances that Meade would have said "elections have consequences, nah, nah, nah" if Romney had one?

100%

The chances Meade will acknowledge that Obama can now claim that the American people prefer his leadership on issues like healthcare, taxes, the environment, etc.

0.005%

Chances that Meade will continue to be a weaselly slimeball?

99.995%

Suck it Meade.

I hate to break it to you, but the chances that Obama will win in 2016 are about as close to zero as you can get.

Deal with it, libs.

Exactly! Meade and I can't for the life of us see what Snoqueen claims to see.

As long as no one offers Justice Thomas any wafer-thin mints during the next four years, everything will be just fine.

I guess I'll have to. Since Obama won the election only because we, the uninformed electorate, were unable to grasp the ugly math, perhaps the Republicans will be able to use their hundreds of millions of dollars to finally get the word out this time.

Maybe THIS time they'll be able to get through to us. Because we are, after all, uninformed and not very good at math.

But not stupid. Ask bdog. We're just uninformed. And since the information is right there in front of us, free for the reading, we must have reading comprehension problems too.

So we're a little slow at reading, bad with math, and don't have the information that we needed to make the right decision. Maybe the Republicans can fix that in the next four years.
