It isn't racist to say that Clarence Thomas is a good candidate for a heart attack.

But I assume that was Meade's point all along...it's assinine to jump to the racist card as seems to happen on this forum from time to time.

It was so over the top stupid I thought it was an obvious satire.

But who knows maybe Meade is being serious.

Over the top stupid, yeah. And you leave room for Meade to save face and say yes of course that's what he was doing. He was pretending he thought it was racist, because you and he both perceive accusations of racism from the left is always over the top because... hm. I guess because you think there isn't any.

Of if it does, you didn't do it, didn't know about it, and don't want to talk about it.

And now, here's one of Romney's best buddies, another player in the "is it satire or is he just plain batshit crazy?" department.

Cops: Ariz. woman runs over husband for not voting
Holly Solomon, 28, chased her 36-year-old husband Daniel Solomon with the family Jeep SUV on Saturday night over a political argument stemming from the fact he didn't vote, CBS station KPHO in Phoenix, Ariz. reported. She pinned him between the underside of the SUV and the curb when he tried to run for help.

The husband told investigators that Solomon believed her family was going to face hardship from President Barack Obama's re-election.

Sounds like there's a lot more free real estate behind his forehead. Maybe he should rent that out.

Rubio is a non-starter. Look into sugar and you'll see why.

You guys really have to do a better job vetting these candidates, and apparently no one learned that lesson with Sarah Palin. Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain?

Painful that anyone thought any of those boats could sail. What a bunch of clowns.

Quinnipiac just release a poll tracking the favorable ratings for various potential 2016 presidential candidates. Hillary leads with a 61% favorable, while Rubio is way down on the list with only a 27% ravorable.

Kinda highlights one basic difference between the red and the blue. The Dems are chaotic. Everybody's got a slightly different agenda, maneuvering, arguing, compromising, and it's the way of the party. It's a pain but stuff gets done. The Republicans are organized and rigid. When the leader and his court keep everybody in lockstep, they roll over the landscape like a tank.

When their rank and file gets out of step, we get what we've got. The Dems are rolling with the current like they always do, the Republicans keep planting their feet in the middle of the stream, shouting out "Okay NOW we're gonna roll!", and falling down again.

If we looked back to 2005 Hillary was pretty high up on the list as well.
The top three Democratic candidates were Hillary Rodham Clinton (40%) , John Kerry (16%) and John Edwards (15%) ; there were eight candidates in the survey (Indiana Senator Evan Bayh, Delaware Senator Joe Biden, retired general Wesley Clark, New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, former North Carolina senator John Edwards, Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, Virginia Governor Mark Warner)

Notice a name missing in there? I don't recall much talk about W in 1997 or Bill in 1989 for that matter.
