Park Avenue: Money, Power & the American Dream

Another Independent Lens entry. This one's an analysis of the one percent. Or maybe it's the four percent, although it doesn't look like anybody but the 1 percenters could live at 740 Park in Manhattan.

My TV listings said it was Solar Mamas which apparently aired the week before so I didn't tune in till a few minutes after it started.

Liked it. Pretty much said what I already knew. Having more money makes you an asshole, gives you power to change the laws in your favor, and does not really mean you're smarter.

And the country stopped being the land of opportunity a few decades ago. If you're born poor, you die poor.

Oh yeah, here's the link.

Was everyone's favorite "fat dumpy poor guy fighting the man" multimillionaire Michael Moore interviewed?

As of 2010, the 400 richest Americans controlled more wealth than the bottom 50 percent of the populace — 150 million people.

You need Michael to tell you that, do ya, darling?
