Obama's secret mind-control plot

Postby kurt_w » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:50 am

President Obama is using a Cold War-era mind-control technique known as "Delphi" to coerce Americans into accepting his plan for a United Nations-run communist dictatorship in which suburbanites will be forcibly relocated to cities. That's according to a four-hour briefing delivered to Republican state senators at the Georgia state Capitol last month.

No, that's not a joke.

On October 11, the Majority Leader of the Georgia state senate convened a closed-door caucus meeting during which Republican legislators watched a powerpoint presentation and 90-minute video promoting a variety of loony right-wing conspiracy theories.

Lots of warnings about "mind control" and UN takeovers. Dick Morris claimed that Obama has a secret plan to forcibly relocate rural Americans into "the cities from whence our ancestors fled". One teaper at the meeting endorsed both Birtherism and 9-11 WTC conspiracy theories.

Here's the kind of material the Georgia Senate Republican Caucus thinks is relevant to its mission:

Yes, that is a slide from the presentation, comparing the freely elected and middle-of-the-road moderate US President Obama to the former Soviet dictator Stalin and Chinese communist Mao Zedong.

Seriously ... mind control? Stalinism? The UN taking over America?

What the fuck is wrong with Republicans in this country? How can one of two major parties in the world's largest superpower be so totally divorced from reality?

Can they really backtrack at this point? Now that they have tens of millions of people completely consumed by the ridiculous conspiracies they push on radio and television, how do they simply turn it off? Flanders still believes that the Clintons buried Vince Foster in the Rose Garden. You can't tell people to drink the Kool-Aid every day for 30 years and then turn around and tell them it's bad for them. At this point, they think the Kool-Aid is the only thing keeping them alive.

I suppose the majority of the Georgia State Legislature is physiologically well-protected from mind-control plots. Presumably "mind control" only works on people who actually have a functional brain.

Some of them can. To me it looks like the upper echelon has decided the Teabaggers are more trouble than they're worth and they want to spend the next four years marginalizing them and replacing them with those mythical middle roaders we keep hearing about.

Or maybe they think they can create a new middle road demographic.

But I think they're starting to distance themselves from the nut cases they've been feeding for decades. Use and discard is their stock and trade.

I know two people around here [the area where I live, not the DPF] who are definitely "consumed" by all the fear-mongering in the right wing media. One of them is a bus driver who seems to spend all his non-bus-driving time on Alex Jones's "InfoWars" website.

The other one is a local contractor who occasionally gets hired to do some work in my department. That guy just seems to be constantly fulminating. He listens to talk radio all the time, and I hate to think what it must do to his blood pressure. At one point before the election he was doing some work in one of the labs here and didn't realize that anyone else was around. When his radio played a clip of Obama saying something, the guy growled "Fucking liar ... fucking lying nigger" in a tone that I can only describe as dripping with rage. He just seems to be always burning up inside with anger. I would seriously not be surprised to hear that he's gone over the edge after the election and either been hospitalized for some medical crisis or lashed out in some spontaneous act of violence.

Some people were wondering if a decisive Dem victory would change things. But this kind of crazy doesn't go away quietly. We now live in a world where this happens:

“Gov. Walker doesn’t support arresting individuals for implementing federal law,” said Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie in an email Thursday.

and he's referring to people he has to work with.

Oh Meade, let the lefties have their celebration circle-jerk threads.

Their dreams have come true and they're still angry, disappointed and confused.

Nice to know that Walker isn't quite as absurd as some in his caucus. Of course, that's setting the bar pretty low.

Oh Ned, do you ever actually read any of this shit?

Even by your usual standards of utter cluelessness, your response is just so much childish gibbering.

The angry, disappointed and confused people are the Republicans in the Georgia state senate. That you are seemingly unfazed by the sheer monumental stupidity of your ideological brethren would be telling, I suppose, if you hadn't long ago established that no G.O.P. blathering is moronic enough to cause you shame.

Congratulations on being the intellectual equivalent of a fluffer for midget/goat porn.

Now, now. Ned and Meade are right. We are not being good winners.

Everybody, go get all those gifts Obama gave you and send them back.

Then tell Mitt and Bill O'Reilly you gave it back so they'll know.

And then let's get ourselves informed next time so we won't be making all those mistakes, and getting people run over by their wives and such.

We have to live up to the example the Republicans are setting for us.
