Didn't we just decide as a country that we don't want the Ryan budget?

Well, considering the republicans also put into their budget that the US government can't fund the now defunct ACORN, I don't think they really give a shit about anything.

Not sure how I missed it the first time around but the Ryan budget also features a repeal of "Obamacare". The 34th time's the charm right?

I wonder why there's not a Democratic budget in the state. I mean, if you're going to get some press for it and do your part to influence the debate, why not?

Or is it a constitutional thing?

In the state as in WI? I suppose because it would never see the light of day in the GOP controlled House. Same goes for DC. The GOP in DC at least gets to pass their token budget even if it will never become law. Democrats in WI don't even get that. But really where has Ryan been since November? We've seen his budget, 3 years in a row. His budget and it's priorities were the topic of discussion for a good part of last year during the presidential race when people were actually paying attention. They were rejected. Every one of his supposed budgets has assumed the repeal of the ACA. It's not happening. What was that definition of insanity again?

Let me guess, does it include cuts to Social Security and Medicare? Oh oh, nevermind.

Well, Ryan wants to repeal part of health care reform -- the part that actually benefits people. He wants to keep the new taxes and the reductions in Medicare spending:

Well while that adds a nice layer of stupid to the whole ordeal it's still just a guy yelling at the clouds.

It would be nice if the Democrats could somehow explain that to the public: Mr. Budget Wonk is either crazy, stupid, or straight-up lying to you.

I'm going re-post from another thread:
In other words, Ryan and Republican leaders started off opposing the ACA’s Medicare cuts, then turned around and twice passed budgets that kept them, then campaigned against those cuts in the 2012 election, and are now embracing them again.

Some Democrats do have a serious budget proposal, which, unlike the Republican plan, is actually popular with the public:
Shockingly, 47 percent of Republicans preferred the House Progressive plan to the sequester. This means that Republicans supported the House Progressive plan just as much as they supported their own party's plan.

but since they're all hippies, nobody will bother to pay attention.
