"Literally"...really?

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it fits here

"Literally"...really?

Postby jman111 » Tue Dec 11, 2012 7:22 pm

After his altercation/assault in Lansing, Steven Crowder spoke to Dana Loesch.
Dana, they literally would have killed me where I stood if I'd of fought back and defended myself after the sucker punch. They literally would have torn me limb-from-limb.

Anyone else peeved by the increasingly untoward use of "literally"?

I'm so sick of it I could literally blow chunks the next time someone misuses it, after I just did.

How about the "increasingly untoward use of violence" to make a point? I am a bit more peeved about that.

Oh, you mean the "if you work long enough and hard enough to fuck over as many people as you can, some of 'em are going to get pissed off, and then if you walk into the fucking middle of a few thousand pissed off people and argue with them, it might end badly" part?

Yeah, that was fucking stupid all right. If only he'd had a gun.

You're also well-known as a liar. So maybe you were a union steward and maybe you weren't. People who regularly make shit up are generally assumed to be lying, even when they aren't.

So, level of intelligence issues aside, do you condemn them for the attack?

Didn't former Governor Jennifer Granholm (D) literally sign a stand your ground bill in Michigan? If so, Steven Crowder may have been literally within his statutory rights if he had pulled out a gun and literally shot his attackers in, literally, self-defense.
