This is just a piece of advice to avoid a problem I have run into many times including this morning. If you are getting a new kitchen floor and especially if they are installing a raised sub-floor over the old one, and you have a built-in dishwasher, make sure the flooring guys do not run the new taller floor right up to the legs of your dishwasher. Unless you have a fair amount of space above the dishwasher (which is rare) it is then locked in there and should you have to replace it, you will either need to cut the legs off the dishwasher or take your countertop off. Have them put in a separate removable piece of flooring, maybe 4 inches deep and the width of the dishwasher. Better yet, take the dishwasher out and install the flooring underneath it too, but that may not leave you with enough room to put it back.
I don't know if the flooring guys are ignorant or just being jackasses, but I have seen them run the new floor right over the top of the round dishwasher feet. Fucking idiots!
edit- that's not 4 inches deep as in down into the floor, it's 4 inches out from the dishwasher....just in case there was any confusion.
