Twin Cities to Madison highway info?

Twin Cities to Madison highway info?

Postby aaronetc » Sun Dec 02, 2007 9:59 am

Does anyone know of a source for real-time (or so) info on I-94 between here and the Twin Cities? My wife is driving home later this morning and I'd like to be able to alert her about trouble spots, but all I can find is the DOT saying that it's "snow covered and slippery" the whole way, but nothing about accidents or lane closures, etc.

The DOT site has incident alerts that give up to the minute information about delays.

She left at about 10:00 and the roads looked pretty clear on the TC highway cams. Also, I forgot we got a free year of OnStar with our new car, and I assume they probably have traffic condition info. Still, something like the Gary-Chicago-Milwaukee corridor page would be nice for the Madison-TC route.

The WI State Patrol has a number for road info, primarily the I... 1800 road wis or from the phone book 1800
762 3947 this has the added joy of not needing the web or a tv in your car, just a cell or landline. Plan ahead!
