The combined members of congress couldn't support an universal backrgound check for firearms, but tracking all of our electronic conversations is just fine?

You may have just solved a big social problem. We don't need a gun database, we just need the NSA to track all the gun-related messages, map who's talking to whom about guns, read their messages, and voila. There it is: way more information than any national registry ever dreamed of about guns in America.

This one is gonna be hard on the screamers: can we still scream against gun laws while we're ridiculing liberals for whining about privacy rights?

The nation is falling apart, I tell ya.

What can possibly take soooo long at an ATM machine? I'm there and gone in 30 seconds. Some of you people peck and stare at that thing for five minutes, like it's an alien spacecraft.

Checking out the personal pages of FB commenters making ridiculous right-wing pronouncements, it's impossible to miss that they're almost all from late middle-aged men playing with fish, guns or motorcycles.

As an early middle-aged man, I'm suddenly glad I sold my motorcycle, gave up fishing and don't take my gun from the house.

The ""Little Free Library" can only hold about fifteen lbs or so of Fortran-77 and COBOL manuals.

My primary care doc back in Madison once said I reminded him of Ralph Reed. "Nonplussed" is the exact word for my reaction.

I'm anti-bumper sticker, anti-personalized license plates, anti-those stupid little team flags that some folks hang from their windows. In general, I'm opposed to car adornments, but, in this case, I might have to make an exception.

Insufficient funds. But that doesn't keep them from swiping it another 5 times hoping maybe some money has magically appeared in their account. Then, as they leave they'll turn to you and warn, " Thing ain't workin' ".

Studies show that most people think that they are better-than-average drivers and everyone else around them is a worse-than-average driver.

So chances are, when people look at your car, and your bumper sticker, they are predisposed to think that you're an idiot who can't drive right.

Therefore, one should really put bumper stickers for the opposing political party on one's car.

That's called strategic thinking, folks.
