If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it fits here

I can swim under water just fine, and other porpoises (or something) are with me and they show me interesting things in the sea, like the bottom of a ship with the propellers, seaweed full of plastic garbage (which greatly annoyed them), and even a newborn porpoise (which was pink and rubbery). I have never been diving and in real life I'm not very interested in the sea at all and have only seen it a few times. Go figure.

Do you ever think your dreams are related to a higher porpoise?

Meade and I went to the library.

It was a library my mind made up.

It was a gorgeous summer day. Meade walked in ahead of me and I was thinking "boy he really is in good shape". One of those wiry strong guys.

He had to go get something on hold and I went over to look at the baseball caps which were on sale. They were all out of state teams. I thought the Mets cap looked pretty neat but I decided I'd go back later and look again.

Looked around and did not see Meade so I decided to go upstairs.

That's where they kept their large hadron collider. A couple guys in front of me jumped into to it but I thought I should go find Meade so I went back downstairs.

No Meade.

He left without me.

Decided to walk home and I intended to read the Althouse blog where I was sure I would find an explanation of why he left me in the library. Alone.

Then I woke up.

Now other people are dreaming about Meade!

I had a dream last night that I woke up, looked at my iPhone, and saw a terrible headline in Drudge. I tried really hard to yell it out to Meade, who was asleep. It was impossible to yell, which should have tipped me off that it was a dream, but it was so realistic — the dream of waking up in bed and doing something that you tend to do while still in bed — that later, when I really did wake up, I grabbed my iPhone, went right to Drudge, and I was so relieved to see the same headline that was there when I went to bed Friday night.

What was the headline I saw in my dream? I won't tell you. It's not that I'm superstitious, but ideas affect minds, and it's an image I won't put out there.

Ideas shape more than just minds ...

Ideas shape the course of history."

-John Maynard Keynes

P.S. When I said I have a lot to share, I meant quotes. I have 36 pages of quotes that are memorable to me, and I enjoy sharing them.

I often quote myself. I find it adds spice to the conversation."

Nothing could have said "I'm a moderate" better than that.

You think you woke up. But that was just in your dream that you thought you woke up.
Weird, huh.

Look around. We're still in the library. Now, shhh... don't get us kicked out. Here, I'll give you a leg up. That's it... into the Large Hadron Collider you go, bosondog.

Meade and I took the Mach 5 out for a run last night. When we got back Pops was PISSED OFF. Last I remember he and Meade were about to come to blows.
