Mega Millions - you in?

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it fits here

I bought a ticket. The gas station had a fairly jolly, Willy-Wonka-Golden-Ticket-lead-up atmosphere, as there were plenty of us buying. I know the odds are long, but it really is the image of a young Charlie at the Chocolate Factory that keeps me a tiny bit thrilled.

If I won? Pay off my student loans, get my family members out of debt, set my daughter up for college. Then donate to my alma mater, UW Children's Hospital, autism research, arts funding. Probably travel around the world a few times with people I love. Likely replace my '99 Lumina. Fun to think about!

I'd endow the Ducatista Madison Lake Fund with enough money to clean up Mendota. Monona can suck it. (Yes, I know they're connected.)

And I'd pledge the entire goal amount in the first minute of the next WPR fund drive.

Sorely tempted to buy Block 100 on State from the Frautschi's and fix up the buildings.

And see the world.

Exactly how long have you been hauling your car up and down the steps?

I bought five. If I won (which I didn't) I would at least try to not touch it for a year, just to get my head on straight. In the meantime you'd have to go into hiding to avoid all your new second and third cousins.
