Best place to sell older underground comics

Postby lolagirl » Thu Nov 22, 2012 11:31 am

I've recently been given a fairly large collection of underground comics from the late 60s through the 90s. These are of no interest to me, and I'd like to sell them. Of the local shops that deal in these items, I'd like input on Westfield Comics or Capital City Comics - which store is the better place to deal with?

Thanks, and hope that everyone has a wonderful, filling and gravy topped thanksgiving

Any old concert or protest posters in that stack? I could help you there.

If comic book stores are like used book stores, don't expect them to pay much.

Westfield's is great, but they don't deal much with the older comics anymore. For something like that you'd get a much better deal by selling them on ebay. Underground comics can be worth a decent amount especially older ones in good condition.

Also, before you sell anything use eBay to help get an idea of what your comics are worth and if the same / similar titles have been selling. You can view the last couple weeks of completed listings, though I think you'll have to create an account first if you don't yet have one.
