81, 73.

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it fits here

81, 73.

Postby Remember_Me » Tue Mar 19, 2013 2:39 pm

A year ago today it was 73 degrees out.

A year ago yesterday it was 81 degrees out.

I'd settle for half that today.

Why do you hate global cooling?

Half of 81F, you say? I think -190F would be a tad bit chilly.

It was even odds as to who would pipe up about global cooling first, Ned or Meade.

Wouldn't have bet on it taking a whole 6 minutes for one of them to bring the stupid.

I think it was Lewis Black who pointed out that it was the scientists who told the King "psssssst- don't shit in the moat."

Now Meade, scientists have told us that it'll get colder before it gets warmer...er...or something like that.

The point is, you need to trust these unbiased, apolitical crusaders for truth.

umm, how does terrace chair arrive at -190F as half of +81F? Cause by the time anyone gets to -190F, you are over three times farther down the scale than half.

And half of 81F is about 40F, which is where I think the poster wished it would be.

Yep. Also, just to make it explicit for bleurose: Kelvin is a scale of absolute temperature (unlike F or C), and it has much more natural units. Explicitly, 0 degrees K is absolute zero.To add in some numbers:

81 F is approx. 300 K
-190 F is approx. 150 K

Oh, and big surprise, the fucking coward responds with a gif in lieu of an actual adult thought.

I sure love how science-y the forum's been lately.

Now, should we confuse bleurose further with the recent discovery that if you cool something below absolute zero, temperatures get hotter?

We are currently suffering from an especially wild fluctuation of the polar vortex. Evidence is mounting daily that this may be exacerbated by the extreme lack of sea-ice in the arctic ocean, because of, you guessed it, global warming. Only a retard could deny the fact that humans have modified the chemistry of the atmosphere, as if that is 'just impossible' .
