I have been enjoying my new Nikon D80 for about a month now. I have never loved an inanimate object this way before.

Meh. Velvia 50 holds about 25 megapixels and is a little cheaper than a D80.

i've shot velvia- last year in fact. if it isn't behind nikon glass or some other really good lens there's not much point. Plus it makes people look like hell.

Well, Velvia was never intended for use as a portrait film. The D80's a fine camera though. I'm still more than happy with my D70 for now.

I came across a cool site that lists all expert reviews for a product in a single page. Most reviews for Nikon D80 Digital Camera are positive. You might want to read them all from one page. Just compare what different experts are saying about it.

I'm happy with my point n shoot Canon A610. I don't understand why people want those big expensive SLR's. I like the new A650 and SX100 from Canon, also.

If I were to get an SLR the Pentax K100 super would be my choice. $600 and fairly small. Nice features.

I have a dSLR and the main factor was a negative experience trying to shoot sports with a non dSLR. I was at the US Open and there was just an inherent delay no matter what setting I used. I ended up with a lot of shots where the server was still mid toss or with the ball already in the net.

I'm slowly saving up for a 1Ds Mark III and a Sigma 200-500 f/2.8. I'm going to use it to shoot the inside of people's brains from a mile away, and it's gonna be sweet :)

I want an slr because i know which speed i want, and/or i know exactly what aperture i want. Does everybody? no. Sometimes automatic is exactly what i need, but when i can see that the camera is smart, but has no idea what my goal is, i want those automatic choices off.

Plus it has a cool setting so that it purposely takes the photo a moment after I take the shot so that there is no camera shake when I press the shutter.

we're still in love. I'm going to buy it a wide angle lens and propose.
