The New Xbox Experience
So what does everyone think so far?
Praise? Complaints?

It's going to take a little time for me to acclimate myself to the new layout.
Also, it's been a little slow/buggy for me thus far.
I'm hoping that it's due to the fact that it's new and everyone's downloading it, or that it's Charter and a glitchy few days for the internet connection...

I love it. The Netflix streaming is awesome.

It rules. Far slicker - and faster navigation for me.

I don't even have any friends (!).

I agree Netflix streaming is awesome. I'm a little disappointed that I can't browse their library from my Xbox. Why should I have to go to Netflix's site to pick out movies?

I'd check it out but my console is being repaired for the 4th time (no joke).

So far so good...Didn't have much time to play with it, except make an Avatar, though mine doesn't look as much like me as it could. I couldn't quite get the hair right...There was no salt and pepper option... ;-)

Looking forward to to trying the Netflix this weekend.

Love the Netflix of course.

I'm still playing with my avatar, my Mii went through several revisions too. Currently sporting some stubble...

XBLA games populate much faster, and I'm glad I can launch any game I have in tray or stored on my HD from that tab.

clicking the guide button brings up something MUCH more usable than the old blade, loading friends, messages, gamercards, and system preferences without lag or going all the way back to the dash.

Ultimately its secondary to the games I can play, but its nice.

Y'know what, no matter how complex a character editor is (i.e. Neversoft, Bestheda etc.), you can never really get the avatar's face to look like yourself.
Maybe they should tack-on the option of digitally mapping one's face onto the avatar via Xbox Vision Cam or taking a digital photo and emailing it to the server (as Neversoft introduced with Tony Hawk Underground).
