Next time try it the way 99% of animators do it. Pick the actors and record the voices FIRST.
I've worked as an animator with plenty of national credits and it's a LOT easier to do it that way. It's almost impossible to create a believable animation where you do the animation first and then try and record the voices to match.
The central library used to have a copy of "Illusion of Life" that you should check out if you're really interested in animation.
