PC vs Mac WORD files.

Postby iwiw99 » Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:13 am

If I send out a WORD file on my PC, it shows up on my MAC unreadable, and on quick read, jumbled.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

On your PC, you can try saving the Word file to an older version of Word, then open the file on your Mac. Hope it helps!

Use Google Docs. Its a super cheap and effective way to back-up, open, and save documents and spreadsheets from any computer.

Saved my ass more than once.

Make sure the PC saves it as a doc, not a docx. I've had trouble with those.

There's also openoffice.org if you need to open docx or xlsx files regularly. It's free.
