But I am always weirdly moved by Harpo playing the harp.

Well, so there you go. Night at the Opera has Harpo playing the harp, and it definitely doesn't have too much Zeppo.

Why do I have a feeling that this thread is going to be cynically used by Charles Sykes or Dave Blaska to claim that Isthmus readers are all a bunch of Marx-ists?

Hey, at least he isn't pushing Mamie Van Doren films.

From the Robot Monster wikipedia page:

Twenty-five-year-old writer/director Phil Tucker made Robot Monster in four days for an estimated $16,000. [...] The budget did not allow for a robot costume as intended so Tucker used his friend George Barrows who had his own gorilla suit to play Ro-Man. Tucker added the helmet.

I'm too busy encouraging your children to say 'fuck.'

On the other hand, Sex Kittens Go to College.

16K seems like a flush budget for how Robot Monster turned out. It makes Ed Wood movies look like Citizen Kane.

It is a must-see, but probably only once for only but the bravest of souls.

Sex Kittens Go To College has Conway Twitty, John Carradine and Vampira in it, which means it has to be totally kick ass.

The movies that I never get sick of watching are rarely all that great, like as in Oscar greatness. In fact, I'd say some of them are borderline terrible, but for whatever reason they capture my imagination, make me feel like a kid again or simply remind me of a time in my life where the world seemed more interesting.

I can think of a ton of great movies that I have zero interest in watching a second time, like "The Pianist".

These are DVDs I own because I wanted to be able to revisit them, for one reason or another. Early 80s comedy is a theme.

The Blues Brothers
Caddyshack
The Bank Dick
It's a Gift
Clash of the Titans
9 to 5
South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut
Nixon
Citizen Kane
Network
The Squid and the Whale
Cheech & Chong: Still Smokin'
Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams
Cheech and Chong's Next Movie
The Black Hole

You're going to be banned from Knott's Berry Farm if you're not careful.

Call me weird, but I really have never had a desire to sit and watch a movie I have already seen. If it's on cable, and I'm channel surfing, sure, but I don't remember the last time I purchased a DVD or Blue Ray. Am I weird?

Just saw Stranger than Paradise again, after about fifteen years. I enjoyed it much more than I expected.
