I'm kind of surprised that no one has started a thread on this. Several guys at work saw it over the weekend and loved it. Didn't make it myself.

Anyone here see it? Thoughts?

i saw it at the imax on friday. it was impressive. this is the type of movie that you should drop $12 to see on the big screen and pass on the $4 rental later. you need the big-ness.

really freaking cool!!!! If you like video games, this movie is right up your alley.

It's not a deep work of art or anything but it is extremely entertaining.

I thought it was entertaining, not great. It's truly a comic book in movie form - all spectacle. The segments that attempt to portray meaningful ideals will give right-wing nutjobs wet dreams.

thought it was a snoozefest. i guess it's good if you want to stare at cgi sixpacks, otherwise, total suckage.
it left me with one burning question though: how did toxie, the toxic avenger wind up in ancient sparta?

I saw it this weekend, was somewhat disappointed, although I should have had a good idea of what to expect. As Tibor said, it's little more than a comic book...the only character who came even close to being very human was the Queen. It was entertaining, but the entertainment was all about the special effects. There was no "there" there.
