Ls Vie En Rose

Postby aaron » Sun Jun 24, 2007 5:03 am

WOW!!! What a movie!! Big, lush, beautiful, exquisitely directed, scenes of great power, an amazing soundtrack.

And Marion Cotillard gives what possibly is the best performance I've seen in years as Edith Piaf. She is something to behold!

Hope it does well in the states. Sizeable crowd yesterday when I saw it, which is good, considering it only opened on Friday.

VERY highly recommended!!

(Forgive all the exclamations, but it is that good.)

Ok, I'm moving this to the top of the posts here, because it just came out on DVD. Anyone who missed it at Sundance and who loves great films and magnificent performances owes it to him or herself to see it. Even on a second viewing, Marion Cotillard's performance is so utterly amazing as to not be believed. She deserves every single acting award there is to give, in my opinion.

Edit your title-typo. As for me, I'm waiting for this movie to come out on filmstrip. DVD is the worst invention ever.

Yea, I rally hate for me and some friends being able to see a movie in the comfort of my own home, for half the price of a humongo tub of popcorn.

Have no fear, Paco. I love DVDs. It was a metacomment.
