I had several must see movies, two of which are at the same time. Darn it. My husband and I ended up with a list of 19 films. We could go to 20 but we're not sure about Klown.
Films do sell out. The shorts always sell out, anything with guests often sells out, and anything well reviewed in a smaller venue will sell out. The Orpheum has sold out, I think they did for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but it is unlikely since it is such a big theater.
They're trying out a new website thing this year which is why it is a bit of a mess and the timing of the ticket sales is off. The guide in the paper is a better way to read the movie listings. The online guide is good if you're looking for a particular actor or director though (I assume the new version still allows that sort of search).
I'm happy about adding Sundance since we lost several other venues with the Union construction and the Orpheum stage door being gone. Although I might be less happy if it turns out I can't make to there in the 20 minutes or so I left between films... The one really good thing about Sundance is that you can eat during the movie so I don't have to worry about a popcorn diet on days we are seeing movies there.
