What a bizarre movie. I had to google and squint to verify that yes, it was rated 'G'. I watched it on Netflix a few months ago. I thought about it again today and post this to check in with common perceptions of reality.
I always meant to read the book but never did.

1. How tf is this rated G? It showed a topless woman x2. An old woman hung by her neck, and old man who drowned himself in a bathtub, a wrist being sliced open. And a bunch of other crazy stuff I forget. Have the ratings changed over the years?
2. It was released in 1971, yet still portrayed night scenes with actors well lit pretending it was dark. Is this some camp thing I am missing?
3. Old men's naked buttocks
4. Naked old lady
5. It is long and I struggled to finish. Not worth the journey but a weird movie for at least 50 min.
