New York Style bagels in Madison - just weeks away!

EDIT: Fine. Gotham Bagels put their sign up and should be open by the end of the month.

They won't have spam.

UPDATE (03/11/07): Bessie Cherry was invited in yesterday and wrote a glowing preview.

Why are bagel places so hard to find in Reno, NV? I was visiting there and I had to drive 15 miles out of the city to find a place that sold fresh bagels.

Is he cute? Is he brown? Would he like to join us for a cocktail? Is he polite? Is he clean? Have him take off his shoes. Don't let him go!

This is the question. If they do not, they are not.

That is the funniest post I have read from you yet. Who cares about NYC bagels & eats when we have cute posts like this? As for bialys (mentioned on the link), can't we wait until we see what these guys do with bagels and pastrami? I hope it's the bomb. I hope it's not another mediocre deli...

I just don't understand how quoting a movie about the LA lifestyle is conducive to a discussion about NYC style bagels. No swinging at the bagel shop.

Stop the presses! There's been a non-constructive comment posted at TDPF!

I thought it was funny that there were two very staccato, one-line questions posted in quick succession. That line was the first thing that came to mind.

And just FYI, a joke is a lot funnier if the maker doesn't explain it. So thanks for ruining my life.

I was just teasing. Sorry, I thought it was funny and tried to be funny back. I should know better.
