Hookah Lounge a gay spot?

Postby artsifartsi » Sun Apr 15, 2007 10:30 am

I was at the Shamrock last night and someone mentioned that the Hookah Lounge (formerly Hannah's Sirloin Strip) off of Rimrock, was the neweset gay-friendly spot in town. Did a quick Google, but I found no reference to this. Can anyone confirm or describe a recent visit?

I'm not gonna clean all my dish but:
yep.
But, like Shamrock, it's a place for everyone.
We all just wanna be loved---is that so wrong?
They don't necessarily flame 24-7...mostly sneaking in certain nights (isn't everyone?), the solid night so far: Sunday.
Gay owner, son of a popular local Lebonese shopkeeper (I bought my first Jesus nightlight from him).
It's a dangerous and and quaint place---the castle on a hill amongst trailer homes!
Good food, too.

This reminds me of the old "Shredded Wheat" jingle:
Whole-wheat goodness on one side, light frosting on the other

Not being gay I had no idea of it's status when I was there recently so I can't comment.
I thought it was a good place in a crap location.
The food is tasty and they have middle eastern dancers on Thurs. and Sat. nights.

Actually, that's "mini-wheats". The rest of the jingle goes:

That's what makes
Mini-wheats
Nicely sweet!

For both phallicly-challenged and vaginally-challenged people.

in the bar it seemed like there we more guys, in the restaurant men, women, families, etc...I don't have a "gaydar" so I couldn't tell what people sexual preferences were.
I was more interested in the food and watching the woman who was dancing.
So IMHO it's not a "gay" place. It's a restaurant and bar that has great food and great entertainment.

Sounds pretty gay to me.

Considering that you get chicken fingers and NASCAR at Hooters...
