Right on. Olin Park is always a great setting and usually there's beautiful weather *jinx* too. And as mentioned, a lot of brewers are justifyably proud folk and therfore bust out their very bestest stock for this event. Last year it seemed the emphasis was on "stronger is betta". The ticket price is downright cheap for the amount of fun that's often had, though it's definitely become more of a chore to score them these days. Go to one Fest and you'll see. Trust me on this.

Will do. Just as soon as a ticket falls out of the sky and into my lap.

Hey, I'm sure it's a fine time. I love beer. But like I said, I'm loath to stand in line for concert tickets, much less a beer bash. And it sure seems like more people show up on these threads to bitch about what a pain it's become to attend this rather exclusive gathering than do to applaud it.

I have enough stress in my life ... and beer in my fridge. The privilege of drinking outdoors shouldn't require a longer wait than it takes to renew your license at the DM Fucking V.

well chuck it could... i mail order tix and
if i get 'em i will have one extra.

i don't think the others have hit home the fact
that most of these brewers bring beer that's
specifically for this event; some are batches that
cannot be bottled due to no preservatives; some are
very small hand made batches of a special recipe
in which "mass production" is just not feasable, etc..

the thing is, this is beer heaven for one afternoon
a year. it's a difficult choice for some to make
because after it's over, you must return from that
state of transcendance for 364 more days of drinking
beer that's produced for mere mortal consumption.
