yuengling is no better than expired lienies original. drink a good beer instead. we have hundreds of them here.

not from "here", but I just found out Chimay makes a 3+ pint bottle. sounds like a big bottle of goodness

Yunz kin have all that hangover inducing, rank yeasty tasting, Belgian, snob beer..."Chimay" sounds like an off-brand kleenex...

Pennsylvania expats such as myself will take good care of the Yuengling!

I thought the snobs were still drinking IPA's with way too much hops in them?

And "Yuengling" sounds like some sort of Yak-sodomizing technique.

I actually like "Blatz" and if that name doesn't evoke something at very least unsavory if not downright disgusting-then I don't know what does.

Agreed. Drinking Blatz has never made me "Blatz", but whatever it is I wouldn't want to be the one to clean it up.

That's not true. It is possible to over-hop an I.P.A., and some makers are doing just that, in some kind of attempt to disinguish themselves, I gather. I reminds me of those silly hotter-then-hot sauces that lack any real flavor (because flavor isn't the point).

I moved here about a year ago and just about fell off my chair when I tasted the New Glarus IPA. It is highly hopped, but more important, it's balanced and aromatic. I gather they add hops to the finish, not only to the boil. Astoundingly good, and no Wisconsin beer I've had since compares.

New Glarus IPA is quite good. You might give Ale Asylum Hopalicious a try, although it is more of an American-style pale ale. I do like extremely hoppy beers....but I also like Belgians, including Chimay. Kind of pricey though. Haven't tried Yuengling yet, so I'll reserve judgement until I do.

All the PA folks love Yuenglings. It's decent. Kind of like Rolling Rock. Doesn't taste bad but not a "fancy" beer. Nice on a hot day.

BTW, it's pronounced "ying ling" -- if you hear someone saying it, you think it's a Chinese beer.
