Will it ever rain in Madison again?

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it fits here

Will it ever rain in Madison again?

Postby roadkill bill » Wed Jul 18, 2007 2:59 pm

Every day, they promise us rain - at least that's what the little thunderbolts in the weather report are supposed to mean. Then, nada.

Grant County got so much rain yesterday, they have flooding. I went camping up north, and it rained both nights. I think I might have heard a few pitiful drops last night.

But are we officially in a drought yet? Much as I love the sun and freedom of "beautiful summer days," I am beginning to long for two straight days of drizzle.

I'm always telling people from California, where water is an obsession, "We don't irrigate, we just wait for water to fall out of the sky."

Ummmm.... I'm waiting.

It'll rain again.

I'm old enough to have seen the Rock ,Pecatonica,
Des Plaines Rivers and our lakes rise lots of times.

Maybe we could hire a shaman to bring some down.

I don't think it will ever rain again.

Kidding aside, man, its dry out there. If I wanted desert I would have stayed in Denver.

I haven't looked it up but I would guess that storm around July 4 is keeping us out of the 'drought' stage. But for all practical purposes (ie my lawn) its a drought...

Fuck the four degree guarantee. I want a wetness guarantee. Now hand over my prize, Lindmeier.

Oprah wants to get wet, and wants Lindmeier to do the job...

If I were ever to swing that way, I'd prefer the bronzed, lithe Charlie Shortino over big, bad, but doughy, Bob; though I hear Cannalte has a Simmonsesque tongue, and he knows how to thrash it.
