Please join us for a very special evening of musical mayhem this Friday at The High Noon Saloon.
Sons of Crack Daniels are a gothic-country supergroup featuring legendary songwriter Pat Macdonald and P-Funk's electric mandolin master Eric McFadden on guitar. They create songs that Morphine, Primus and Hank Williams would all hear in their waking nightmares.
Jane Wiedlin from the seminal '80s all-girl punk band the Go Go's will also be appearing at the High Noon tonight, performing Go Go's songs with Madison's own Whore du Jour as her backing band, and also some songs that she and the band wrote together. Whore du Jour will also play a set of their own garagey, dancey, riff-laden songs before Wiedlin joins them on stage.
The Skintones need no introduction, as these Crustacean Records mainstays have been rocking Madison for years with their combination of heavy riffs, solid musicianship and wry humor. Local favorites Screamin' Cyn Cyn and the Pons open the night with their mind-bending, gender-bending, endlessly entertaining punk rock show.
Also throughout the night expect to hear some of the Midwest's finest blues guitar licks, from former Madison resident Chris Aaron.
