Not bad, but I prefer Blowing Up the New Death Star for Episode VI.

The sailor who fell from grace with the sea.

I can think of so many more threads that I would label "stupid" before this one.

Dammit.
I'm still confused.
Is this thread about titles of bad movies or bad movie titles?

It's supposed to be about crappy titles.

Regardless of your opinion of the film, whether the Fish actually saved Pittsburgh or not is irrelevant because a good title should pique your interest, not make you think, "Boy, that sure sounds stupid", the way that, say, The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox does.

I freely admit, we should all strive to live by the maxim that you can't judge a book by its cover -- plenty of great films have bad or simply lackluster titles -- but as Forons, isn't it our duty to mock simply for the purposes of our own entertainment? And isn't this especially true on Friday afternoons, the time at which I started this thread?

yes yes yes and yes BUT:
98% of posts are great descriptive titles of bad movies---not bad movie titles.

Natalie Merchant.

Among her many crimes against humanity was making Michael Stipe gay.

Why must it be one or the other? If you entitle a thread "Worst Movie Titles" you kind of leave the door open to foronic interpretation. If you want a discussion to be more specific, then be more specific in the naming of your topic/thread, i.e. giving the thread a title like "Poorly Named Movies" or "Titles of Bad Movies". If you're going to be ambiguous, expect an eclectic discussion.

I'm terribly sorry.

Maybe we could start some kind of charitable association to help you conquer your affliction.

Something like 'The Cram Some Taste Into Paco, Already! Shit! Fund.'

I've got five bucks, a gently-used rolodex, and my Commodores Greatest Hits cassette I'd be willing to kick down...
