From Great Lakes Brewery:
Named after the 1969 burning of the Cuyahoga River, this pale ale combines a citrusy hop flavor with a fruity assertiveness that boasts of the character of Cleveland.
I've always said Cleveland is full of assertive fruits.
Especially after meeting Trent Reznor back when he was playing keys with a faggy band called Sosumi.
This beer is a 6.0% so I'm already liking it.
Much lighter and, um, citrusier than Sierra Nevada, it breaks through my fanatical worship of SN like Liquid Plumber.
The bubbles aren't as dense but never gets close to flat beer water. Clean and pure, and it asserts my fruitiness without assaulting my fartiness. (And I drank several along with a veggie burger and hummus platter.) Coy yet aggressive with a subtle impertinence, it smacks my brain up with a creative buzz.
An intelligent drunk.
Highly recommended for beer bodhisattvas but easily sprung on unsuspecting Bud drinkers.
