Couldn't resist.

OK, Blunt, now you can compare and contrast IPA's. Ballistic just blew me away, and I likes my hops.

I picked up a sixer at Neil's in Fitchburg on Friday afternoon.

I'm not 100% sold on Ballistic. The citrus overtones are pretty strong, and it seemed a bit too "grapefruity" for my tastes. My friend, a bigger hophead than I, didn't like it at all.

Just stopped in to try the new Ballistic at the Ale Asylum. I found it amazingly flavorful. 2 pints of that is really enough, atleast if you want to drive home. I have yet to try the Sierra Nevada, which I'm sure is a good beer. But so is the IPA from Summit, Flat Tire or Goose Island (well, actually...)

I guess the point is there is a lot of national IPA that are good, why not drink local?

They had it at Woodman's West as well.

I agree that it is very citrusy. Personally, I really like that in an IPA but I understand that it would not suit everyone's tastes.

This may be one of those beers that people either love or hate. Nothing wrong with that.....more for me!
