Duke Nukem ForNever

Postby TAsunder » Thu May 07, 2009 1:29 pm

3d Realms finally ran out of money. 12 years on a product that never came close to completion. Does that set a record? Has any video game taken longer to complete?

How did they have enough money to pay for 12 years of developer (and other staff) time anyway?

I almost feel a sense of relief, somehow.

I loved playing Duke with my coworkers back in the day.

Blood and guts everywhere.

heh, I made this exact same threat title joke at another forum.

Take Two still has publishing rights to the game and its possible they could hand any existing work to another studio who could in theory complete the game in a matter of months and then spawn more sequels than Guitar Hero.
