Fantasy Football in Madison

Postby maiadonohue » Wed Apr 29, 2009 3:49 pm

I like playing fantasy football, but none of my friends play, and I'd like to play in a league with people, rather than a bunch of anonymous avatars on espn.com.

I'm not into gambling, I just like to play. If anybody has a league I could get into, please let me know. :)

I'd be into a Daily page league. Who wants to set it up? Free would be best. I've done yahoo for a few years and have few complaints although I can manage CBS sports from my iPhone which would be nice.

ESPN has free leagues, with live scoring and all that. They have a nice set up.

Now we just need 8 more people.

Time to revive the fantasy football thread? Sounds like we have two interested parties. Anymore potential TDPF Football managers out there? Or are you all awaiting the news on Brent Farve?

I'd sign up for this as well. I've always participated in the office league over the last few years, which is Yahoo-based.

I've done all of them over the years. As long as it's free I don't care which we choose. It would be nice to have live scoring. That's a paid option on Yahoo! not sure where it's free. CBS was OK last year as well. We get a few more interested lets set something up and get a draft date.

I'm already in 2 money leagues(one is big $$), so I'm gonna have to pass.

ESPN has free live scoring again this year.

I'm going to create a league on ESPN. Would a draft work best daytime M-F probably?

Aren't most of us too busy posting on The Forum during work to conduct a draft?

Are you guys thinking a live draft, or online? I've never done a live one before, and would like to try that. Maybe after 5pm?

And ESPN has the best, free live scoring and all. No need to pay on yahoo for what ESPN gives you for free.

I was thinking Live, Online draft. Not a bunch of dudes with note pads. I guess maybe after work hours would be more appropriate. I'm already distracted enough with TDPF. What say you all. Next week? At or around 6?

I can do Mon or Tues, but Wednesday I have kickball and I will be traveling for the rest of the week. If I can't make it to the live draft I will just set my draft picks up beforehand, and it will autodraft for me.

With an online draft we don't need to meet up, we will be virtually "meeting." If that's what the person setting up the draft intended.
