NFL Draft

Postby fisticuffs » Thu Apr 22, 2010 3:19 pm

The new format oughta make tomorrow more interesting but what about tonight? I'd love to see the Pack move up and take Spiller or a nice safe Tackle prospect but history tells me that's unlikely. more likely Al Davis will trade the number 8 pick to the Patriots for one of Billicheat's old hoodies. Other than that I see Bradford going 1 of course. Followed by Suh. After that? I dunno. Will Big Ben be traded? Will he and Mark Chmura open a tween dance club? What does Mel Kiper do between now and say... December?

Good questions but I'm sure the Packers will take an O lineman. Everyone says Rogers needs more protection.

A few of the mock drafts I've seen have the Packers taking undersized LB Jerry Hughes from TCU. If they go OLB first, I hope they take Brandon Graham from Michigan instead.
I'm kind of hoping they take a chance on OT Bruce Campbell from Maryland. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.

I missed most of the draft day hoopla, so I'm not sure how the Packer got Bulga at #23 but that has to be the steal of the draft. Huge OT from Iowa that could start tomorrow. They signed both Tauscher and Clifton in the off season, I wonder who takes a seat...\
This is excellent news!

An Iowa guy should like Green bay. Who will there round 2 be? A Linebacker.

O'Brien Schofield.

Only kidding a little bit.

I was going to say a CB, but I don't see it as an immediate need. People love to point out how old our CBs are, but I've only seen them get better over the last three seasons. Tramon Williams is already to go if one goes down- wouldn't be a bad time to get a second heir in uniform.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Packer pick up a decent OG or C in round two either.

I'm probably getting the name wrong, but I hope they move up and draft OLB Sergio Kindle, to play on the side opposite Clay Matthews.

Taylor Mays from USC is a possible DB candidate, though he's gotten some mixed reviews.

Great stroke of luck to have a good OT drop down to us in the 1st round though.

I could see them maybe taking O'Brien in a late round, depending on how the early part of the draft plays out.

Schofield just picked by the Arizona Cardinals, late in the fourth round. I wonder what other Badgers will go in the draft. Garrett Graham, probably. Anyone else?

edit: How did I miss it? Graham was taken by the Houston Texas in the fourth round, ahead of Schofield.

Hey Larry,

As long as you agree with everything Uncle Leaver says, you should be fine.

Does anyone else find it fucked up that the retrospective revote on NFL rookie of the year not only gave Cummings retention of his crown, but also only garnered Clay Matthews a couple of the swing votes??

It was Brian Cushing(not Cummings) and serves as a great example that steroid use is accepted in some sports, but lambasted in others.

Fuck that. Larry is just a spammer. Did you notice his link? He won't be back unless he has something more to sell.

I thought Larry raised a valid point - which would you rather watch, Sex in the City 2 or the NFL Draft? Which features more bling? Which has fancier shoes? Which has more tears?
