Baseball is already officially pissing me off in a week this year than all of last year combined. Sure glad we went out and grabbed Hawkins. Also my first fantasy team isn't doing so hot. We did the auto draft and I was left without a closer. Even so at this point I'm holding onto more hope fro the Cornballers than the Brewers.

I'm sure hoping that this month is the team getting its shitty play out of the way early. Otherwise, we might as well start rebuilding right now, and start it off by feeding Doug Melvin to Scott Boras.

Edit: Just heard the phrase "Suppan vs. Zambrano" for tomorrow's game.

You know what ... fire Melvin right now. Whether he deserves it or not. Whoever is behind the decision to keep Suppan on this team, and in the starting rotation ... seriously. I can't think of a hell that's hot enough for you. What's the next smart move, trading Fielder to get Jonny Estrada back?

This afternoon's LaTroy was the LaTroy I remember. He helped me teach a coworker a very important lesson: never talk shit about a win in the 8th inning.

Another kick into a man who is down.

From the Brewer website,

" Brewers catcher Gregg Zaun stepped to the plate in the eighth inning on Wednesday looking to avoid an 0-for-4 afternoon and a dubious place in Brewers history.

By going hitless in his first three at-bats, Zaun was 0-for-21 this season and had matched outfielder Brad Nelson for the worst start in club history by a hitter on the Opening Day roster. Nelson went 0-for-21 last year before the Brewers released him. "

Gregg Zaun is absolutely en fuego. With hits in his last two at-bats, you surely can't stop King Zaun, you can only hope to contain him.

Does the story have merit? Who knows. The denial of only the "urine part" is pretty funny though.

Amazingly prolific post in light of another disaster by Hawkins tonight. I would call Hawkins the Bill Hall of this season, only when the Brewers finally wise up and drop this waste of space no other team will even bother with him. Between him and Hoffman's blown saves, the Brewer's have lost 4 easily win-able games out of the first 10. No way I'm going to make it through a whole season of this shit.

Oh Pittsburgh. Why can't we play them every game. Hopefully we didn't just prematurely ejaculate all our runs for the week. Hoping to score a few against the Cubbies.

Yeah. They sure have had the Pirates number the past couple seasons. And as fun as this series was for panicking Brewers fans, they sure better do something similar to the sCrubs ...

On that note ... get ready for Suppan tomorrow. gak. 20 runs may not be enough.

Apparently that internal meeting to focus on having fun playing the game did the trick. And fortuitous coincidence that the Pirates showed up to bear the brunt of the explosion of baseball glee. Not planning on too many 36-1 three game sweeps...to severely understate the obvious. That's gotta be a record for run differential in a series, eh?

Damn, beat me to the punch. How can you expect the guy to throw out a base runner?

OK. Even worse than the Crew's inability to play well against anyone but the Pirates:

Player A: .732 OPS, 13 RBI, 9 Runs, .990 FP, 27% caught stealing.
Player B: .714 OPS, 5 RBI, 7 Runs, .981 FP, 24% caught stealing.

Which catcher would you rather have?
