RIP: Richie Hayward

Best known as the drummer for Little Feat, but also worked with The Fraternity of Man, The Factory, Dylan, Robert Plant, Bob Seger, Tinsley Ellis, The Justice League of America etc...really sweet guy who'd been battling liver cancer the past 18 months. Looks like Lowell George finally found a drummer in rock & roll heaven.

Fantastic drummer. SO funky. Great feel. Musical, lyrical player. He influenced so many.

I was never much of a Little Feat fan but Richie always made listening worth while.

The little shuffle intro to "Fool Yourself" is just about perfect.
