This is the land of miller lite...so I guess I'm not suprised.

Yep. And Missouri is the land of Bud Light. And Colorado is the land of Coors Light. And because those beers hail from those places, the other beers and the beer drinkers of those places are buck-toothed rubes incapable of making or appreciating flavorful beer.

Tyranena's Bitter Woman rates at 68 IBUs according to beertutor.com. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale rates at 62. SN's Torpedo, their Extra IPA hop-bomb, only comes in at 70.

True, none of these crack the top 100 according to the aforementioned website (nothing under 95 IBUs there). But I don't think many folks would say Celebration or Torpedo tiptoe around the hop bushes. Bitter Woman stands right alongside them, and if BeerTutor were better updated, I'm sure Hopalicious and Ballistic would be right there, too.

my point was that people think local beers are hop bombs..when they are actually just right, and in the world of extreme hopped beers...there aren't too many locally. They right in the middle easy drinking ground of IPA's....
ANother good one you left out is Scurvy, which is in the top three of my favorite local IPA's
