Fatal car chase on Midvale

I'm glad I wasn't driving on Midvale this morning.

http://www.channel3000.com/news/27423143/detail.html

"A suspect was killed after a high-speed chase concluded with a vehicle crash on Madison's far West Side on Monday morning. Law enforcement is blocking traffic near Midvale Boulevard after the crash in which the suspect's stolen vehicle apparently hit a tree. The suspect was the only person injured in the crash and died at the scene. Midvale Boulevard is currently shut down between Mineral Point Road and the Hilldale Mall following the crash...The suspect was the subject of a wild pursuit involving area authorities in which he traveled both inside and outside the city of Madison. It's unclear at this time what led to the chase."

Geez, if Midvale Blvd is the "far west side", then Gammon Rd must be out near Iowa.

Sometimes local news media has a strange sense of geography. I recall an article where Ian's Pizza on N. Frances St. was described as being on the west side.

It seems these descriptions are often based on outdated geography.

Bunch of little wanna be gangsters, based on their photos they all thought they were from the ghetto, and now they will see first hand what little cupcakes from holbrook they really are, while spending time out in Riverhead with real ghetto dwellers!. Why do people try so hard to get out of the ghetto, and there are others that try so hard to get into it?
