Liberal media

Postby u2girli » Fri Apr 08, 2011 9:42 am

I open the isthmus.com today to find at least 4 articles either supporting protesters or slamming Walker. I am so sick of liberal media in this town, and having to resort to cable news to get anything balanced and showing a Republican point of view. I can't wait to move...

1/10. Putting "balanced" and "Republican point of view" in the same sentence is something even the hardest of righties wouldn't do.

Next.

The outrage about "liberal media" usually has to do with supposedly unbiased mainstream outlets that slant their coverage. With Isthmus, everyone knows what they're getting. What they're getting includes conservative perspectives.

You mean, Blaska?

I guess you could call that a conservative perspective. Sorta.

Christian Schneider springs to mind. Blaska isn't conservative?

A caricature of one, perhaps.

Fair enough. Many media conservatives are. Come to think of it, many media liberals also are caricatures.

Are there plans, then, to add a liberal-caricature columnist? Balance, you know.

One caricature is more than enough.

It would seem that one is the perfect number. So why not swap out one caricature for another on a periodic basis? At least that would offer plausible deniability for accusations of lucrative demagoguery.

To keep in shape, Blaska could spend his off years telling his grandchildren that their parents hate them and blame them for every sorrow they have ever known.
